This digital application is designed to facilitate the assessment and documentation of the results of a screening for distal symmetrical sensorimotor polyneuropathy (DSPN) and follow-up in clinical practice. The service tool allows you to transfer the results directly to the patient file.

Procedure: The digital assistant guides you through the screening with questions about symptoms and deficits. Deficits are identified as part of a focused neurological examination.
After entering the screening results, the digital assistant adds up the score based on your answers and compares it with established scores*. The application does not replace a clinical diagnosis, but merely serves as a support for clinical assessment or its recording in your daily practice.
You can personalize the results and save them as a PDF document in your files or print them out.

Information on how to perform the screening can be found in the step-by-step instructions or in videos.

To the assistant

* The digital screening assistant was developed by Dr. Gidon Bönhof, Düsseldorf. It is based on the practical recommendations for diabetic neuropathy issued by the German Diabetes Society and the National Care Guideline (NVL) for neuropathy in diabetes in adults and the scores recommended therein (neuropathy symptom score [NSS], neuropathy deficit score [NDS], 11-point pain scale [NRS]). The assistant is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of diseases. It does not replace a medical evaluation and diagnosis.
